On-page SEO: write titles that earn clicks
Keyword research tools tell you what to target; this previewer shows you how your page will actually look in Google before you publish. Titles and descriptions truncate by pixel width, not character count — a 62-character title can get cut off while a shorter one with wide characters survives.
Teams researching keyword cannibalization or competitor rankings often find multiple pages competing for the same query. Unique, intent-aligned titles and descriptions for each URL reduce Google rewrites and improve click-through rate on the page you want to rank.
mktcrew's Scout and Writer agents research keywords, draft articles with titles tuned for search, and publish to your CMS on a schedule you set. You approve every publish — start a free trial to automate the work after you preview snippets here.

FAQ
SERP snippet preview FAQ
What is a SERP snippet?
A SERP snippet is how your page appears in Google search results — the blue title link, the URL breadcrumb, and the gray meta description beneath it. It is the first impression searchers get before they click, so title and description length and wording directly affect click-through rate.
How long should a meta title be for Google?
Google truncates titles by pixel width, not character count — roughly 600 pixels on desktop and a similar limit on mobile. As a rule of thumb, keep titles under 60 characters to avoid cut-off on most queries. This tool measures the actual pixel width so you can see exactly where truncation happens.
How long should a meta description be?
Meta descriptions are also truncated by pixel width — typically around 920 pixels on desktop and 680 pixels on mobile. Aim for 150–160 characters as a starting point, but use this previewer to verify the real cut-off for your specific wording.
Why does Google rewrite my title or description?
Google may replace your title or description with text pulled from the page body if it judges your tags irrelevant to the query, too long, or duplicated across many pages. Writing unique, query-aligned titles for each page reduces rewrites.
How do I improve SERP click-through rate?
Front-load the primary keyword in the title, include a clear benefit or differentiator, and write a description that answers the searcher's intent — not just repeats the title. Preview both desktop and mobile before publishing; truncation differs between them.
Does this tool fetch my live page from Google?
No. Enter your title and description directly — everything runs in your browser with no network request, so nothing leaves your device. Use it to draft and QA snippets before you publish or after you update a page's meta tags.
